Marlo Di Crasto is an American-Italian actress and dual U.S.–Italian citizen based in Rome. A native English speaker fluent in Italian, she brings professional training and experience from New York and Los Angeles to the Italian and international film and television markets. Her Italian credits include Il Colibrì, directed by Francesca Archibugi, and Gormiti – The New Era, directed by Mario Parruccini. A trained actress, singer and dancer, Marlo combines warmth, intelligence and sophistication with strong comedic instincts and a distinctive on-camera presence.
MARLO’S STORY: Marlo was raised in Upstate NY and is the grandchild of four Southern Italian immigrants born in Gaeta (Lazio), Foggia (Puglia), Naples (Campania) and Realmonte (Sicilia).
Marlo’s paternal grandparents were cheesemakers and she grew up in the family’s Italian food dairy where she could be found singing and tap dancing in the back room in front of the pizza oven and the mozzarella cheese grater big enough for her to sit on. On Marlo’s maternal side, you can find a legacy of entertainers appearing on the Hollywood screen and stage of the 1950s.
Marlo started singing and dancing before she could walk and was working professionally on stage by the age of 12. As an adult, she studied acting in NYC and Los Angeles with some of the best on-screen teachers and mentors.
Today, Marlo is based in Rome and works across Italian and international film, television and stage productions. She recently created, produced, staged and starred in a live concert at the historic Teatro Arciliuto in the city center of Rome dedicated to legendary Hollywood actress and singer, Julie London. Her Italian screen work has placed her alongside acclaimed actors including Pierfrancesco Favino and Nanni Moretti.Marlo can also be seen as Veronica Levant in the Sky television series Gormiti – The New Era.
