A dual US and Italian citizen, Marlo was raised in Upstate NY and is the grandchild of four Southern Italian immigrants born in Gaeta (Lazio), Foggia (Puglia), Naples (Campania) and Realmonte (Sicilia). She is a native English speaker and is equally fluent in Italian. Marlo’s paternal grandparents were cheesemakers and she grew up in the family’s Italian food dairy where she could be found singing and tap dancing in the back room in front of the pizza oven and the mozzarella cheese grater big enough for her to sit on. On Marlo’s maternal side, you can find a legacy of entertainers appearing on the Hollywood screen and stage of the 1950s.
Marlo started singing and dancing before she could walk and was working professionally on stage by the age of 12. As an adult, she studied acting in NYC and Los Angeles with some of the best on-screen teachers and mentors. Today she is a working actress in film and television in Rome, Italy and New York, NY – and recently created, produced, staged and starred in a live concert at the historic Teatro Arciliuto in the city center of Rome dedicated to legendary Hollywood actress and singer, Julie London. You can also find her on screen with A-List Italian stars such as Pierfrancesco Favino and Nanni Moretti. Marlo just wrapped shooting as a series regular in the brand new Italian teen superheroes TV series; Gormiti The New Era slated for release in October 2024.
